Hey all!

Wimbledon is full of traditions. The strawberries and cream. The all-white dress code. Centre Court. And then there is July 7th, 1985.

For German tennis fans, it's one of those dates you don't need to explain. You simply say "Becker '85" and everyone immediately sees the same images: the diving volleys, the grass stains on the white kit, the teenage face after match point.

A moment that somehow became much bigger than tennis itself.

Boris Becker arrived in London as a 17-year-old with no seeding next to his name. Two weeks later, he left as the youngest Wimbledon champion in history.

It wasn't supposed to happen.

And yet, more than forty years later, the match still feels like the beginning of something. Courts across Germany filled up. Kids copied Becker's diving volleys on local clay courts. Tennis suddenly belonged in schoolyards, on television and around family dinner tables.

When we started working on this limited release, Boris himself gave two simple creative directions: 7.7.85 and the Becker fist. Everything else grew from there.

Beth is a graphic designer based in East Yorkshire, England. Her work explores the electric energy of sport through bold, surreal compositions that transform iconic moments into layered digital artwork full of movement, color and emotion.

For Wimbledon 1985, she approached Becker's iconic victory the same way. Rather than illustrating a single photograph, she set out to capture the feeling and energy of that afternoon on Centre Court.

The Back:
A layered composition celebrating one of the defining moments in tennis history. Hidden throughout the artwork are details that shaped the day: Church Road, Becker's iconic championship pose, Centre Court, the famous date 7.7.85, and countless references that reward a closer look.

The Front:
The Wimbledon Gentlemen's Singles Trophy alongside the iconic year 85 and Becker's famous nickname "Boom Boom". A nod to the explosive serves and fearless attacking tennis that made him one of the sport's most unforgettable champions.
